Things have been changing around our house lately, starting with I am going to be working at the hospital (part-time) and I am going back to school (full time). So I made a list for Ryan and the kids to look at while I am gone. When I am gone (at most maybe 4-6 hours) most of the time less than that, I come home and my house looks like a tornado came thru!! They (husband and both kids) say they don't know what to do, I always say just look around. So now there will be no questions about what needs to be done.

Here is my list that is posted on the fridge for everyone to see...

Things To Do When Mom Is At Work or School

To be done everyday:
~pick up house (like Mom would do it!)
~dishes
~kids homework, sign agenda books, and empty papers for me to look at
~laundry
~take out trash (when needed)
~feed dog and cat
~make sure all outside toys are in garage before dark
~pick up kids rooms
~sort thru mail and shred junk mail

To be done if all the above is done and you need something to do:
~sweep carpet, tile and hardwood
~dust
~wipe down bathrooms
~Windex fridge, stove, dishwasher, and microwave
~wash all sheets and make the beds

To be done if you feel real energetic and want to really make Mom feel good
~mop tile and hardwood floors
~clean bathrooms real good
~go to the grocery and get things we will actually eat
~plan a meal and cook it
~clean out garage

I thought this was a great idea, but my husband didn't share my enthusiasm. I will post later how this is all working out. Thanks for stopping in!!

Ok...so I finally stopped laughing enough to type. How much of said list do you think will actually get accomplished? I hope it works out for you...I really do but I am not going to hold my breath! Let me know if it does work and I will adapt it for the Champion household...no cooking or laundry for my 2 men. It's really not pretty when they try!

Hahahaha, I like your list. Oh if only every one in the house could pick up like that it would be sooo nice. I might have to give your list a try and see how well it works here . . . . but I don't think it would go very far, lol.
Also, you had posted a comment on my blog and said that you didn't have my email address, it's amberhopephotography@verizon.net. Talk to you later, hope everything is going good, take care! Amber Hope
